Join the Wharton Alumni Social Impact Club (WASIC) for a LIVE EVENT on Penn’s campus!

Will also be streaming live - inaugural attempt -- details below
Light dinner and networking begin at 5:30 PM, presentation at 6:30 PM.

Come meet other members of WASIC in real life (!) and hear a presentation by Steve Smolinsky focusing on the many places, spaces, career paths and opportunities available to those interested in social impact work.

Steve Smolinsky prides himself as a quirky fellow that has had varied and extensive experience working in the social impact space. He’s a world traveler, willing to go anywhere at any time. He’s started and run several businesses and spent twelve years as Wharton Global Consulting Practicum Region Manager, working primarily in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America with some work in Europe and China. Steve is a Strategic Advisor to the CEO of Geneva Global, serves on several boards and will certainly venture off-topic a few times in very satisfying ways.

Join us to learn why Steve’s favorite restaurant is NICE in Namibia, the importance of blending in, and to discover answers on some fundamental questions, such as

  • What is Social Impact – is there good and bad impact?
  • Where is this work being done within and outside of the investment space?
  • How does one transition into this kind of work?

If you are unable to attend in-person but would like to join us via Zoom for the live presentation at 6:30 PM, please register in advance https://zoom.us/meeting/register/1b2e9e7d839ec6497510d14dfea9e911 .
